ABOUT US
Shine Family Resources is co-founded by Catherine Lucey and
Hilary Saltzman, who facilitate Shine workshops and counseling
with passion, energy and a good dose of humor.
Their focus is working with parents and couples in times of transition.
Nothing has encouraged their passion for working with parents
more than becoming parents themselves.

Hilary Saltzman, M.S., MFTI Co-founder
Austin, TX Location

Hilary has had extensive experience working with families and children of all
ages for over twenty years as an educator and counselor. Her passion for children
started as a caregiver for infants and young children. After earning a BA in
Psychology, she went on to coach women’s high school field hockey in Philadelphia
at Springside School for Girls and taught at Saint Luke’s Preschool and
Stretch the Imagination, both in San Francisco. After creating a small play based
program for two year olds, her interests in transitional change and family dynamics
led her to earn a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration
in Marriage and Family Therapy from Dominican University of California. She counseled
teenagers and groups at Bay Area Community Resources in Marin and most recently
worked as a personal consultant to new parents. In addition, she is a certified
Gottman Educator.
She is currently facilitating workshops and counseling at the
second location of Shine Family Resources in Austin, where she
lives with her husband and two young children.
